Enrollment Analysis: Asian students comprised 0.2% of Franklin Parish's student body in 2023-24 school year

There were six Asian students enrolled in Franklin Parish schools in the 2023-24 school year, 100% more than the previous year, according to the Louisiana Department of Education.

Data showed that Franklin Parish welcomed 2,496 students during the 2023-24 school year. Among them, Asian students comprised 0.2% of the student body to be the second least represented ethnicity in the parish.

Among the six schools within the parish, Gilbert School recorded the highest enrollment of Asian students in the 2023-24 school year, with a total of three students.

According to a 2023 Scholaroo study, Louisiana's educational performance is among the lowest in the nation, ranking second-to-last behind Arizona. The state ranked poorly in key metrics such as school quality, student achievement, and teacher-student ratios.
