There were 314 ninth grade students enrolled in Richland Parish schools in the 2021-22 school year, 15% more than the previous year, according to the Louisiana Department of Education.

Rayville High School welcomed the most ninth grade students in the parish.

Within Richland Parish schools, the most students were found in ninth grade classes, while 12th grade classes were the smallest.

Statewide, Richland Parish ranked 23rd lowest in enrollment numbers. It was ranked 22nd lowest the year before.

In 2022, there was roughly one teacher for every 18 students, compared to the national average of 1:16.
