Enrollment at Union Parish School District schools decreased by 2.2% compared to previous school year

There were 1,888 students enrolled in Union Parish School District schools in the 2021-22 school year, 2.2% less than the previous year, according to the Louisiana Department of Education.

Out of the total students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 51.5% of them were boys, and 48.5% were girls.

The most represented ethnicity among Union Parish School District students was Black or African American, with 43.1% of students identifying as Black or African American.

Union Parish School District covers approximately three schools within Union Parish, with its main office in Farmerville.

Among the three schools in Union Parish School District, Union Parish High School recorded the highest enrollment of 749 students in the 2021-22 school year.

The majority of Louisiana students were identified as white and Black, representing 48% and 37% of the state student body respectively during the 2021-22 academic year. Hispanic students made up 8.6% of the student body, and other ethnic minorities made up 5.6%.

In 2022, there was roughly one teacher for every 18 students, compared to the national average of 1:16.
