There were 8,164 students enrolled in City of Monroe School District schools in the 2021-22 school year, 0.1% more than the previous year, according to the Louisiana Department of Education.

Out of the total students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 51.2% of them were boys, and 48.8% were girls.

Data also shows that most of the students were Black or African American, representing 81.5% of the City of Monroe School District total enrollment.

Among the 19 schools in City of Monroe School District, Neville High School recorded the highest enrollment of 993 students in the 2021-22 school year.

The majority of Louisiana students were identified as white and Black, representing 48% and 37% of the state student body respectively during the 2021-22 academic year. Hispanic students made up 8.6% of the student body, and other ethnic minorities made up 5.6%.
