The ULM women’s basketball team is set to conclude its regular season at home, beginning with a matchup against Texas State on Wednesday at Fant-Ewing Coliseum. The game is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. CT and follows the Warhawks’ recent 67-54 loss to Georgia Southern.

This meeting marks the 70th contest between ULM and Texas State. Texas State holds a narrow overall series lead after their win in December. In Monroe, ULM has an 18-14 record against the Bobcats, but Texas State claimed victory in last year’s road game. The last five games between these teams have all been decided by ten points or fewer. This will also be their final meeting as Sun Belt Conference opponents, as Texas State is moving to the Pac-12 next season.

Fans can listen to Wednesday’s game on 105.7 KMLB with Josh McGehee providing commentary, or watch via ESPN+. Live stats are available through the women’s basketball schedule page at ULMWarhawks.com.

Texas State enters the matchup with an 11-16 record and recently lost to South Alabama. Sophomore guard Saniya Burks leads their scoring with an average of 14.6 points per game, while sophomore forward Kyra Anderson contributes 13 points and a team-high 8.3 rebounds per game. The Bobcats’ defense ranks fifth in the conference for fewest points allowed and is among the national leaders in turnovers forced.

ULM features three players averaging double figures: J’Mani Ingram (11.6 PPG), Nakiyah Mays-Prince (11.1 PPG), and Marcavia Shavers (10.3 PPG). Shavers leads in rebounding with 9.4 per game, while Mays-Prince averages a team-best 4.6 assists and leads in steals with 47 this season.

At home this year, ULM holds a 9-4 record inside Fant-Ewing Coliseum and is one win away from matching its previous high of ten home victories from two seasons ago.

In recent games, ULM has shown strength from beyond the arc, making nearly forty percent of its three-point attempts over four games and recording its fifth-best single-season total for made threes in program history.

Graduate student J’Mani Ingram reached her milestone of 1,000 career points earlier this month during an eighteen-point performance against Georgia State.

The Warhawks achieved a historic result earlier this season with a decisive win over Louisiana—their largest margin ever against that opponent—while setting several single-game highs including offensive rebounds and fewest turnovers committed.

Marcavia Shavers recorded multiple double-doubles throughout the season, highlighted by a career-high twenty-one rebounds against Arkansas State—a mark that stands as one of the top performances in the Sun Belt Conference this year.

Senior Nakiyah Mays-Prince has also contributed significantly since joining ULM, leading both her team and conference in assists per game while reaching new personal bests in scoring and playmaking during recent matchups.

On offensive rebounding, ULM ranks third in the Sun Belt Conference and eleventh nationally for offensive boards per game.

The Warhawk bench continues to provide substantial support offensively; they are second in conference play for bench scoring average this season and have surpassed thirty bench points ten times so far.

ULM will finish out its regular season at home Friday night against Southern Miss at Fant-Ewing Coliseum.
