ULM volleyball head coach Reid Gann announced on May 18 that Rich Rosales has been appointed as the program’s next assistant coach and recruiting coordinator.
The addition of Rosales brings experience in both coaching and recruitment to the ULM volleyball team. His background includes collegiate coaching, club-level leadership, and player development across several programs.
“I am excited to have Coach Rosales coming on board as our assistant coach,” Gann said. “Rich has a real passion for the game of volleyball, and I look forward seeing the impact he will make on our program.”
Rosales most recently served two seasons as a graduate assistant at East Texas A&M, where he was responsible for player and culture development, guiding various positions including setters, pin hitters, and defenders. He also contributed to practice planning, scouting, and recruiting efforts. During his time there, he coached athletes who received All-Conference honors and helped lead the team to two Southland Conference Tournament appearances.
Before joining East Texas A&M, Rosales spent nine years with Corpus Christi Force Volleyball Club in roles ranging from head coach for multiple age groups to Assistant Director/Director of Recruiting and Training. His teams qualified for Nationals eight times during his tenure. From 2017 to 2024, he was also a teacher and volleyball coach at Incarnate Word Academy where his leadership resulted in notable playoff runs including a regional finalist appearance in 2023.
Rosales’ earlier experience includes working with Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi’s indoor and beach teams from 2015 to 2016. The Islanders achieved undefeated regular seasons during this period along with their first NCAA Tournament berth. He assisted in developing award-winning players while working under recognized coaching staff.
Rosales holds degrees from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi (Bachelor of Arts in Psychology) and East Texas A&M (Master of Science in Kinesiology). Originally from Granbury, Texas, he graduated high school there in 2013.
