Toni Bacon has received another key endorsement in her campaign for District A police juror in Ouachita Parish. RED PAC, a group that supports conservative candidates at the local level, has endorsed Bacon in the upcoming election on October 14th. This endorsement comes on the heels of Bacon already receiving the endorsement of the Ouachita Republican Party.
According to a press release, RED PAC endorsed Bacon based on her fiscal responsibility, advocacy for rural economic development, and commitment to conserving private property rights. Kevin Gardner, the Executive Director of RED PAC, stated, "[Toni Bacon] represents the very essence of conservative values. Their commitment to transparency, fiscal responsibility, and local development will undoubtedly serve their communities well."
Bacon, a Republican candidate, is running for a seat on the Police Jury Board in District A. If elected, she would serve a four-year term before facing re-election. In a recent speech before the Ouachita Parish Republican Party Executive Committee, Bacon outlined her three primary areas of focus as a police juror: communication with constituents, support for local businesses, and fiscal conservatism.
With over 29 years of experience in banking and development, Bacon believes her background as a commercial lender gives her a unique insight into what helps businesses and the local economy grow and develop.
After her remarks before the executive committee, Bacon received the endorsement of the party. This was followed by the announcement of the RED PAC endorsement, further solidifying her support from conservative groups.
The election on October 14th will determine the outcome of several positions, including all six district seats on the Police Jury Board in Ouachita Parish. As the campaign continues, Bacon's endorsements from RED PAC and the Ouachita Republican Party could be influential in her bid for District A police juror.
