NEW ORLEANS (April 19 2022) – The May 11 New Orleans Chamber of Commerce 2nd Quarter Business Luncheon at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center will feature Port of New Orleans’s President & CEO Brandy Christian as the keynote speakers. Ms. Christian will discuss the port’s initiatives for 2022.
For more than 12 years, the Chamber’s Quarterly Luncheons keynote speakers have provided the community with insights regarding city and state business and legislative developments. The luncheons offer professionals the opportunity to network with one another and meet local leaders.
“The New Orleans Chamber works to ensure our Quarterly Luncheons give attendees the opportunity to build beneficial business connections,” said Pamela Otibu, New Orleans Chamber of Commerce’s Director of Community Engagement and Communications. “We’re excited to have Ms. Christian discuss the port’s current projects with the business community.”
“Disruptions to the supply chain have been in the headlines for more than a year now – they have affected all of us,” said Brandy D. Christian, President and CEO Port of New Orleans and CEO of the New Orleans Public Belt Railroad. “Even as the port has been navigating logistics related challenges, we have focused on infrastructure investments that will allow us to continue to grow our regional and statewide economic impact. I look forward to briefing the Chamber on projects at our current facilities and development of a new container facility in St. Bernard.”
The event will take place May 11 in the La Nouvelle Orleans Ballroom at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Pre-registration is required and must be completed by Monday, May 9 at noon. Tickets for members is $65 and $75 for non-members. Registration can be completed online.
