Stafon Roach achieved a first-place finish in the triple jump at the Sun Belt Indoor Championships, marking the end of the indoor season for Louisiana Monroe Warhawks track and field. Roach, a junior, recorded a season-best distance of 15.87 meters, which was more than 0.4 meters ahead of his closest competitor.
The men’s 4×400 meter relay team—comprising Bradley Riccardi, Matthew Malcolm, Thibault Buchard, and Mario Santin—secured second place with a time of 3:12.14. Additional podium finishes included Mario Santin taking third in the 400-meter race (47.83 seconds) and Joshua Gill placing third in the 3000-meter event (8:27.55).
Other notable results for ULM men included Thibault Buchard finishing sixth in the 400 meters and Joseph Morgan seventh in the mile run.
On the women’s side, Maria Nikoloau placed seventh in the 3000 meters with a time just under ten minutes. Tuva Sandberg followed closely behind in eighth place for the same event.
The Warhawks will begin their outdoor season at the McNeese Cowboy Relays scheduled to take place in Lake Charles, Louisiana from March 13 to March 14.
