Now Save and 76 Fuels announced on Mar. 14 that they will partner with the University of Louisiana Monroe (ULM) to offer a free youth basketball clinic for boys and girls ages 6 through 12. The event is scheduled for Saturday, March 21, from 10 a.m. to noon, with doors opening at 9:30 a.m., and will be held in Monroe.
The clinic aims to provide young athletes with hands-on instruction in basketball fundamentals while allowing them to learn directly from collegiate players and coaches. Organizers say the event is designed to foster skill development in a supportive environment at no cost to families.
“We are proud to support events like the ULM Youth Basketball Clinic because investing in our young people means investing in the future of Monroe,” said Simran Dhaliwal Emaus, CEO of Dhaliwal Distributing LLC. “Seeing kids excited, active, and learning from positive role models is what community partnership is all about. At Now Save, we believe in bringing families together and creating lasting memories for local youth.”
The clinic will be led by ULM men’s and women’s basketball players, coaches, and team staff. Activities will include interactive drills focused on shooting, dribbling, passing, and teamwork. After the session ends at noon, participants can attend a meet-and-greet with student-athletes until approximately 12:30 p.m.
Registration is required in advance due to limited space; spots are confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration closes Wednesday, March 18.
“Giving back to the Monroe community is at the heart of who we are,” said SJ Tuohy, ULM Director of Athletics. “Hosting this clinic allows our student-athletes to connect with local families, serve as mentors and inspire the next generation both on and off the court. We’re grateful for partners like Now Save and 76 Fuels who share our commitment to supporting and uplifting our community.”
All registered participants will receive a free t-shirt at check-in along with co-branded giveaways such as water bottles and sling bags.
