Congresswoman Julia Letlow, representing Louisiana’s 5th district since 2021, shared insights and updates through a series of tweets on July 7 and 8, 2025. Letlow, who succeeded Ralph Abraham in the U.S. Congress, has been active in promoting local culture and educational advancements within her constituency.
On July 7, Letlow highlighted a feature by Mark Ballard of The Advocate regarding Louisiana artwork displayed at the U.S. Capitol. She described it as a “great rundown from Mark Ballard of @theadvocate of all the wonderful Louisiana artwork now on display in the U.S. Capitol!”
Later that day, she expressed pride in the academic progress made by students in Northeast Louisiana. She extended gratitude to educators and community leaders for their roles in these achievements: “Proud to see many of our Northeast Louisiana students show significant improvement in the classroom! Special thanks to the teachers, parents, and school leaders who have driven positive results in our communities.”
The following day, Letlow reported on her team’s visit to St. George for an inaugural ceremony celebrating the community’s first elected officials. This event included notable figures such as Police Chief Todd Morris and Mayor Dustin Yates: “Our team was recently in St. George to attend the swearing-in ceremony for the community’s first elected officials, including Police Chief Todd Morris and Mayor Dustin Yates!”
Julia Letlow was born in Monroe, Louisiana, graduated from the University of Louisiana at Monroe with a BA in 2002, and resides in Start.
