Congresswoman Julia Letlow, who represents Louisiana’s 5th district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared a series of posts on her official social media account highlighting policy developments and local engagements.
On July 29, 2025, Letlow commented on national trade policy, stating, “President Trump’s trade agenda is opening new markets for American businesses, restoring fair trade, and bringing significant investment into our country “.
Later that day, she addressed tax legislation under consideration: “President Trump’s Big Beautiful Bill will lower taxes for the middle class, increase the Child Tax Credit, and provide relief for working Americans.”
On July 30, Letlow posted about her work within the district: “Caught up with Dr. Randy Morris of West Carroll Health systems to discuss healthcare issues and needs facing our rural hospitals.”
Letlow has served as the congressional representative for Louisiana’s 5th District since 2021 after succeeding Ralph Abraham. She previously held a seat in the Louisiana House of Representatives. Born in Monroe in 1981 and currently residing in Start, Letlow graduated from the University of Louisiana at Monroe with a BA in 2002.
