Congresswoman Julia Letlow, who represents Louisiana’s 5th district in the U.S. Congress, recently highlighted legislative actions aimed at supporting working families and service workers through a series of posts on her social media account.

On September 5, 2025, Letlow wrote: “Our Working Families Tax Cut kept President Trump’s promise to remove taxes on tips. Waiters and waitresses will have more money thanks to No Taxes on Tips. But more Louisiana serviceworkers will also benefit – learn more!” (posted September 5, 2025).

Later that day, she praised an educational presentation by a state official before a congressional committee: “.@cadebrumley did an awesome job sharing the Louisiana Success Story before @EdWorkforceCmte! STATES are leading the way to a brighter future for America’s children.” (posted September 5, 2025).

In another post on September 5, Letlow detailed recent tax policy changes designed to assist parents with childcare expenses: “With the Working Families Tax Cuts passed by Congress, we delivered on making childcare more accessible and affordable for parents. – Strengthened the Child & Dependent Care Tax Credit – Boosting the Employer Provided Child Care Tax Credit – Allowed parents to save more pre-tax”.

Letlow has served in Congress since replacing Ralph Abraham in 2021. She previously held office in the Louisiana House of Representatives and is originally from Monroe, Louisiana. Now aged 42 and residing in Start, she earned her BA from the University of Louisiana at Monroe in 2002.
