Congresswoman Julia Letlow, who represents Louisiana’s 5th district in the U.S. Congress, has recently posted a series of updates on her official social media account regarding immigration policy, tax legislation, and her ongoing work for constituents.
On July 22, 2025, Letlow expressed support for former President Donald Trump’s approach to border security and immigration enforcement. She stated: “Under President Trump’s leadership, illegal border crossings have plummeted. I’ll continue to support @POTUS’ agenda of shutting down the border and enforcing our nation’s immigration laws.”
Later that day, Letlow highlighted recent tax policy changes attributed to Trump-era legislation. In her post she wrote: “President Trump’s Big, Beautiful Bill lowered every American’s taxes. Learn more about all of the positive changes coming for your pocketbook https://t.co/63LBxMixVk” The tweet referenced anticipated financial benefits for Americans as a result of these legislative changes.

Letlow has served in Congress since 2021 after succeeding Ralph Abraham as representative of Louisiana’s 5th district. She previously held office in the Louisiana House of Representatives and is a Monroe native who graduated from the University of Louisiana at Monroe with a bachelor’s degree in 2002. At age 42, she resides in Start, Louisiana.
