Congresswoman Julia Letlow, who represents Louisiana’s 5th district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of tweets highlighting her positions on energy policy, education, and national security.
On July 17, 2025, Letlow wrote: “We know in Louisiana that our energy fuels the world. Working with President Trump, we’re getting the government out of the way to create an energy boom off the Gulf of America!”
The following day, she turned her attention to education in Louisiana. On July 18, 2025, Letlow tweeted: “Louisiana is quickly becoming a national leader in improving educational outcomes. Read all about the great work @cadebrumley is doing to let teachers teach and put our students on a path to success!”
Later that same day, she commented on past actions by former administration officials: “As they were leaving office, Obama officials started a disinformation campaign to attack President Trump.
The intelligence community should be focused on protecting Americans – not hijacking national security for political gain.”
Letlow has represented Louisiana’s 5th District since 2021 after succeeding Ralph Abraham. Before serving in Congress, she was a member of the Louisiana House of Representatives. Born in Monroe in 1981 and currently residing in Start, Letlow graduated from the University of Louisiana at Monroe with a bachelor’s degree in 2002.
