Congresswoman Julia Letlow, who represents Louisiana’s 5th district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared updates from her work and community engagement through a series of posts on social media.

On August 26, 2025, Letlow posted about her participation in a meeting with civil engineers in Baton Rouge, stating: “Joined a recent meeting of civil engineers in Baton Rouge to talk economic development, infrastructure, and other issues facing Louisiana and America.”

Later that day, she highlighted her efforts to connect with constituents across her district during the month of August. In a post dated August 26, 2025, she wrote: “This August, I’ve been back home to see familiar faces and listen to constituents in every corner of the 5th District. In Concordia Parish I shared how the Big Beautiful Bill will benefit farmers, small businesses, and families in places like Vidalia.”

In another post from August 26, 2025, Letlow congratulated Dixon McMakin on his new role at Tiger Stadium: “Congrats to my friend Dixon McMakin – the new voice of Tiger Stadium!”

Letlow has served as the U.S. Representative for Louisiana’s 5th District since replacing Ralph Abraham in 2021. Before joining Congress, she served in the Louisiana House of Representatives. Born in Monroe in 1981 and currently residing in Start at age 42, Letlow graduated from the University of Louisiana at Monroe with a BA degree in 2002.
