Congresswoman Julia Letlow, who represents Louisiana’s 5th district in the U.S. Congress, recently posted a series of updates on her social media account highlighting her engagement with constituents and national events.

On September 1, 2025, Letlow marked the federal holiday by stating, “Happy Labor Day! Today we celebrate the huge contributions of American workers to the country we know and love.”

Two days later, she announced a radio appearance via Twitter: “I’ll be talking with @brianhaldane at 8:35 am CT this morning about the latest news and activity in Washington! Listen live: https://t.co/YLoeZj4d5h https://t.co/F9Xwn5qKas” (September 3, 2025).

Later that same day, Letlow shared details about a recent meeting with local officials: “I recently hosted a productive meeting with local leaders in Marksville to discuss opportunities for Avoyelles Parish and how my role on the Appropriations Committee can support community growth.” (September 3, 2025).

Letlow has represented Louisiana’s 5th District since succeeding Ralph Abraham in 2021. She previously served in the Louisiana House of Representatives and is originally from Monroe, Louisiana. At age 42, she resides in Start and holds a BA from the University of Louisiana at Monroe.
