Congresswoman Julia Letlow, who has represented Louisiana’s 5th District in the U.S. Congress since 2021, recently shared updates on her activities and views via social media. Her posts focused on trade support for Louisiana industries and community engagement across various parishes.

On July 11, 2025, Letlow highlighted federal efforts to assist Louisiana’s shrimp industry. She wrote, “Louisiana benefits from a Trump Administration that is fighting to support our signature shrimp industry. Thanks to @POTUS and @SecretaryLCD for pursuing fair trade practices that level the playing field for our made-in-America industries!”

Later that day, Letlow commented on her visit to Concordia Parish. In a post dated July 11, 2025, she stated, “Loved visiting with so many good friends in Concordia Parish at the Rotary Club of Ferriday!”

In another update on July 11, 2025, Letlow reflected on her activities in Washington Parish. She posted, “Completed a busy district workweek in Washington Parish! Held a roundtable with with local elected officials and community leaders to listen to their priorities and discuss issues facing Bogalusa, Franklinton, and all of Washington Parish.”

Julia Letlow has served in the U.S. Congress representing Louisiana’s 5th District since replacing Ralph Abraham in 2021. She previously served in the Louisiana House of Representatives. Born in Monroe, Louisiana in 1981, Letlow is currently 42 years old and resides in Start. She earned her BA from the University of Louisiana at Monroe in 2002.
