Congresswoman Julia Letlow, who represents Louisiana’s 5th district in the U.S. Congress, highlighted her recent efforts on behalf of constituents and local institutions through a series of posts on her official Twitter account.
On May 7, 2026, Letlow reported progress in constituent services, stating: “In April, we completed 132 cases for constituents and returned over $300,000 to Louisiana taxpayers. We are dedicated to cutting through the red tape and serving you.”
Later that day, she addressed rural health care initiatives and federal support for medical facilities: “I am always fighting to support rural health care and bring your tax dollars home. Listen to St. Francis Medical Center President Dr. Thomas Gullatt share how funding I secured helped keep a Monroe hospital functioning during Winter Storm Fern.”
On May 8, Letlow acknowledged small business owners as part of National Small Business Week: “It’s National Small Business Week! Thank you to all the entrepreneurs and small business owners who create jobs and strengthen our communities.”
Letlow has served in Congress since 2021 after succeeding Ralph Abraham. She previously held office in the Louisiana House of Representatives. Born in Monroe in 1981 and currently residing in Start, Letlow graduated from the University of Louisiana at Monroe with a BA in 2002.
