Congresswoman Julia Letlow, who represents Louisiana’s 5th district in the U.S. Congress, recently highlighted her office’s constituent services and views on education policy through a series of posts on social media.
On July 31, 2025, Letlow reported the results of her office’s efforts to assist constituents with federal agencies. She wrote, “In June, our office returned nearly $500,000 to constituents from federal agencies and resolved 94 cases with departments like the Social Security Administration and the IRS. I’m here to serve you. Give us a call today!”
Later that day, Letlow recognized the contributions of interns working in her Washington D.C. office over the summer. In a post dated July 31, she stated, “Happy National Intern Day to this great crew of Louisiana interns serving in our DC office this Summer! Thank you to Ashleigh Lewy, Sarah Crenshaw, Parker Bauder, Azlyn Isaac, and Parker Zito.”
On August 1, Letlow expressed her perspective on education policy: “In Louisiana we know how to educate our children better than the federal government. Education belongs in state and local communities – not the DC swamp.”
Letlow has represented Louisiana’s 5th District since 2021 after succeeding Ralph Abraham in Congress. She previously served in the Louisiana House of Representatives and is an alumna of the University of Louisiana at Monroe.
