Congresswoman Julia Letlow, who represents Louisiana’s 5th district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared updates on her activities and local engagements through a series of posts on social media.
On November 5, 2025, Letlow posted about her visit to Tangipahoa Parish: “Always enjoy spending time in Tangipahoa Parish! Visited with local veterans in Hammond and stopped by WTTG Radio to discuss the government shutdown and how it’s impacting regular folks.”
The following day, she commented on leadership changes at Louisiana State University: “I’m excited to see Dr. Rousse take the helm at @LSU alongside new Baton Rouge campus Chancellor Jim Dalton! LSU is a place of incredible opportunity, setting our students up for success through higher education. The future is bright!” This post was made on November 6, 2025.
Later that same day, Letlow addressed educational workforce issues in Northeast Louisiana: “Recruiting and retaining qualified teachers is essential to continuing Louisiana’s progress. Glad to see the brightest minds in Northeast Louisiana partnering to recruit more young people into the classroom!”
Letlow has represented Louisiana’s 5th District since 2021 after succeeding Ralph Abraham. She previously served in the Louisiana House of Representatives and holds a BA from the University of Louisiana at Monroe. Born in Monroe in 1981, she currently resides in Start.
