Congresswoman Julia Letlow, who represents Louisiana’s 5th district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared a series of statements on social media addressing trade policy, law enforcement support, and public health leadership.
On July 16, 2025, Letlow posted: “President Trump promised to get tough on trade while opening up new markets for American industries. Here’s the latest proof that he’s delivering https://t.co/ihjROH6NAg”.
Later that evening, she addressed concerns regarding immigration enforcement officers, stating: “ICE officers are suffering from left-wing smears about their work to keep our communities safe. I will always stand with our law enforcement community. https://t.co/IOTyHkzlUh”.
In a third post on the same day, Letlow highlighted a meeting with a national health leader: “Met with @NIH Director Jay Bhattacharya to discuss critical issues facing public health in Louisiana and the nation. https://t.co/0OrxKEmXQH”.
Letlow has served in Congress since 2021 after replacing Ralph Abraham and previously held office in the Louisiana House of Representatives. She was born in Monroe, Louisiana in 1981 and currently resides in Start. Letlow is an alumna of the University of Louisiana at Monroe, where she earned her BA in 2002.
