Congresswoman Julia Letlow, who represents Louisiana’s 5th district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of messages on social media addressing local education, law enforcement, and economic issues.

On August 19, 2025, Letlow expressed support for Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry’s stance on national law enforcement, stating, “Thank you @LAGovJeffLandry for standing for law and order in our nation’s capital.”

Later that day, she highlighted her encouragement for the University of Louisiana at Monroe (ULM) community at the start of a new academic year. In her post dated August 19, 2025, Letlow wrote: “Excited for my friend Dr. Carrie Castille to kick off a new school year at @ULM_official! I’m thinking of ULM’s students, faculty, and leadership as they begin another year of learning and growth.”

On August 20, 2025, Letlow thanked the Tangipahoa Chamber for hosting her at an event focused on tax relief and energy policy. She said: “Thank you to the Tangipahoa Chamber for hosting me for a luncheon and roundtable to discuss how the Big Beautiful Bill provides tax relief for job creators, families, and seniors while supporting our Louisiana oil & gas industries. I also shared how our work on the…”

Letlow has represented Louisiana’s 5th District in Congress since 2021 after succeeding Ralph Abraham. She was born in Monroe in 1981 and resides in Start. Before her congressional service, she served in the Louisiana House of Representatives and is an alumna of the University of Louisiana at Monroe.
