Sjursen’s performance was highlighted by two even-par rounds and a final score of one-over par, which secured her victory by two strokes over the field. She also recorded 10 birdies during the tournament and outperformed 15 ranked players to claim sole possession of first place.

Other notable performances for Louisiana Monroe included Zoe McLean-Tattan, who placed 36th out of 84 competitors with a score of 232. Emma Manzini followed closely behind with a total score of 233 after carding +1 in her opening round. Anna Andrysova and individual competitor Tessa Ion both finished tied for 57th with scores of 239.

Host Texas A&M took home the team title at the event, while Baylor and Missouri completed the top three teams. In individual standings behind Sjursen were Charlotte’s Jette Schulze (+3), Texas A&M’s Vanessa Borovilos—ranked twelfth—and Baylor’s Bridget Boczar, all tying for second place.

The Warhawks will now prepare for their next challenge at the Sun Belt Tournament in Fairhope, Alabama. The tournament is scheduled to begin on April 20.
