Former Sterlington High School standout Cole Thompson played on Saturday, May 17 in hopes of reaching the NCAA Division II Baseball Championship

On Saturday, May 17, former Sterlington High School standout Cole Thompson’s current collegiate team the Delta State Statesmen won 7-16 against the Florida Southern Moccasins in the NCAA Division II Baseball Championship.

The game took place at Henley Field at 2 p.m. and was the first matchup against the Florida Southern Moccasins in the tournament.

The Delta State Statesmen’s next game will take place on Saturday, May 17 at 2 p.m. at Henley Field.
