The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) has announced that the shoulders along Interstate 20 Westbound at the Ouachita Parish/Richland Parish Line will be closed starting Tuesday, February 24, 2026. The closure is required to allow for emergency removal of tree debris.

DOTD stated, “This closure is necessary for emergency tree debris removal.” The work schedule may change depending on weather conditions.

The department issued a safety reminder: “DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.” Area residents are also urged to exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near active construction zones.
