In a tweet posted at 01:00:01 UTC, Letlow announced her support for “The One Big, Beautiful Bill”, which aims to prevent a significant tax increase for the middle class while providing a tax cut for working families. The bill seeks to permanently extend the standard deduction that was doubled in 2017 and offers an additional $1,500 increased deduction.
Later that day at 12:45:32 UTC, Letlow expressed her patriotic sentiments by wishing everyone a happy Independence Day. She tweeted “Happy Independence Day! Today we celebrate the cause of American Independence, ultimately producing the greatest country in the world “.
At 16:10:47 UTC on the same day, Letlow highlighted another provision of “The One Big, Beautiful Bill”. This provision aims to eliminate taxes on tips for service workers such as waiters and waitresses. According to Letlow’s tweet, this measure is expected to boost incomes by up to $1,300 annually for tipped workers.
